What all factors Google Keyword Planner tells

Google Keyword Planner tells different metrics like :

  • Average Monthly Searches: This metric tells the average number of times a keyword or phrase is searched on Google per month. Like 1-100, 100-1000, 1k-10k etc.
  • Competition: Here GKP tells the keyword competition into three categories: low, medium, and high. It helps to identify how competitive it is to rank for a particular keyword in Google Ads.
  • Low Bid: It is the lower range of the bid amount required to have your ad appear at the top of the search results when targeting a keyword.
  • High Bid: It is the higher range of the bid amount required to have your ad appear at the top of the search results when targeting a keyword.
  • YOY: Year-over-Year data can helps us to identify trends and changes in keyword search volume over time.
  • Ad Impression Share: It tells the percentage of ad impressions our campaign received compared to the total number of impressions it was eligible to receive.
  • Organic Impression Share: For Google Ads campaigns, this metric shows the percentage of organic (unpaid) search impressions our website received compared to the total number of eligible organic impressions for a specific keyword.
  • Click-Through Rate (CTR): It is the percentage of people who click on our ad after seeing it.
  • Keyword Ideas: GKP generates a list of keyword ideas related to our initial search keyword. It will help us to discover more keywords.
  • Keyword Trends: We can see historical data and trends for keywords, which can be useful for understanding seasonal variations in search volume.
  • Location and Language Targeting: We can specify the geographic location and language for which we want to research keywords.
  • Filtering Options: Users can apply filters to refine keyword results based on criteria such as search volume, competition and bid.
